Honey and insomnia

Honey has been used for generations for the treatment of insomnia. Warm milk and honey before bed is a delicious and effective natural remedy for insomnia. Milk increases our brain's natural sedative, serotonin, and the carbohydrates in honey speed up that process.

“Old times favorite grandma’s recipe”




Ingredients:-

1 cup milk

1 tablespoon honey

1/4 teaspoon  powdered cinnamon

½ teaspoon mixed spices — pinch of powdered nutmeg, powdered green cardamom, etc. (optional)

How to do:

Put the honey, cinnamon, and mixed spices(optional) in a cup.
Pour one cup of milk into a pan and warm it over medium heat.
 

Stir the milk so that the honey isn’t completely settled at the bottom of the cup. And then enjoy each sip of the delightful drink and float into the land of dreams.

Ginger, honey, tea

A hot cup of ginger honey tea is an age-old remedy for cold and cough which I think every mother gives to her sweet pies when they get sick.



Ingredients:-

  • 1 small size ginger
  • 1tsp raw unprocessed  Honey
  • Few drops of lemon juice
  • 2 cup of water

How to make it


  • Wash and peel ginger, then grate it with the grater, Now put the grated ginger in a teapot


  •  Boil the 2 cups of water at least for 2mins add this to the pot of tea with ginger and cover it with lid,  allow ginger to infuse for 2 mins. Strain the ginger water using a strainer.

  • Now squeeze some lemon juice in the ginger drink.

  • Pour Raw honey and mix it well with a spoon.

  • Serve it hot.

 Honey and ginger together make an effective expectorant


 

Honey cinnamon drink  for cholesterol

Honey Cinnamon drink can be taken daily to improve overall health, protect against heart diseases, it helps lower the cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood.

Honey might lower high cholesterol levels due to its antioxidant property.

 

1. Take 2 tablespoons of honey and add 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon powder to it.

2. Mix well and take 1 teaspoon of the mixture twice a day after meals.

3. Repeat this for at least 1 month for better results


  • Honey mixed with carrot juice is a drink that can improve eyesight.



Honey lemongrass, ginger tea

This tea helps to relieve painful menstruation.





Ingredients

  • Lemongrass     2 stalks

  • Ginger              1-2inch piece

  • Honey               ½ tsp


How to make it


Chop lemongrass and crush it in mortar. chop ginger into small pieces makes it in the paste. 

Add ginger and lemongrass into a cup of water and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5mins. Then sieve this liquid in a cup and add raw honey in it and mix it well. Enjoy this warm tea. 


Do you know that??


Never heat honey. When honey is heated, it losses its nutritional value and becomes toxic. Babies under one year should not be given honey (Research suggests that honey can cause botulism in infants).
